The Untitled Verses: An Exercise in Poetic Composition is an ongoing project. I've written poetry in the past, but with little regard for actually form. That is until I purchased a book of poetic terms. Do you have any idea just how many poetic forms there are? Neither did I. Needless to say... there's a lot! And in a flash of either brilliance or over-achieving idiocy I decided to take on the task of doing a composition for each poetic form.
From Wikipedia -
In the visual arts – in particular painting, graphic design, photography and sculpture – composition is the placement
or arrangement of visual elements or ingredients in a work of art, as distinct from the subject of a work. It can also be
thought of as the organization of the elements of art according to the principles of art.
So that's the goal... one composition for each poetic form. You can be the judge on whether or not I adhered to form standards.
